1. Assess your likes and dislikes

It is also important to see if your current skills will be useful in your new career. Certain skills like communication, leadership, team management, and planning and resource management are applicable to different careers. Also, update your skills by undergoing trainings and take short courses to update your education. Remember, it is important to be well-prepared beforehand in order to perform well in the new career.
